Issues
Responsible Spending & Taxes
As a husband and a father, I know the importance of balancing the family budget and being able to provide for your family’s future. As the cost of living increases and monthly expenses, such as insurance, property taxes and gas prices weigh on our minds, I want to make sure that government does not grow faster than people’s incomes.
Education
Education is more than a top priority for me; it is the reason I decided to run for office and represent our community. Having grown up in Florida’s Heartland and calling our region home all of my life, I view education as the stepping stone for opportunity for our small-town communities, so that our children can grow, learn and continue to live here.
Seniors
A society is judged by how it cares for its ageing population. In our region, we have a large number of retirees that have lived here since childhood or have chosen our small-town community to live out their golden years.
Insurance
As a businessman, I know the importance of a thriving private market that allows competition to dictate consumer pricing and customer service. This is the dilemma we face in today’s insurance market. Rates are rising, Floridians are struggling and yet the government continues to think it can provide insurance better than private businesses.
Economy
A strong economy is the backbone for success in every family and community, and providing quality jobs, so that people can provide for themselves and be productive members of society, is key to that success.
Environment
As a citrus grower and a farmer, I understand the delicate balance between protecting and preserving the environment, conserving our natural resources and being able to enjoy the scenic beauties that surround us. Having grown up in Florida’s Heartland, I treasure my memories of fishing and boating on our lakes and will work to conserve our natural resources for generations to come.
Health Care
Over the years, our small-town communities have grown significantly in advancements in technology and health care facilities. I have proudly supported our doctors and hospitals, and I have worked to keep them practicing and providing quality health care in our hometowns.
